I am too outspoken for the church peeps, but too “church” for the two-steppin’ crowd. I might not be the “sweet girl”, but I will go to war for you if it comes down to it. I love color palettes and mood boards but man, oh man am I a sucker for coding and math equations.
These are all things that literally make no sense going together. Like, at all.
But I’ve learned to embrace that my contradictions make me who I am. I am masculine and feminine. Logical and expressive. Brutally honest and deeply compassionate.
Truth is, I don’t fit nicely into one box and neither should you.
A lion represents many things. Strength, boldness, majesty, passion, loyalty, confidence — but above all, it represents what it means to be fearless. At its core, the idea of being fearless comes from Psalm 34:4, which says we are “delivered from fear” — a life motto of mine. Heck, it’s even tattooed on my arm. I hold this resilience close to my chest because for you (and for me) it’s taken a lion’s fight to get this far. I know how bad you want it. And I know you’ll do what it takes to rise to the top.

Yep, that’s aaallll coming from my athlete days. Growing up I was constantly playing sports, and even went to college on a softball scholarship. Being an athlete has definitely imbued Lenya Creative with a fierce work ethic and loyalty to lifting up others and reminding them they can do anything they set their mind to.
When I quit my softball scholarship, I had no idea what I was going to do next. But, I’ve always been just as logically-brained as creatively-brained (it does exist, I am not a unicorn). So I quickly switched paths to get my degree in education. After college, I started teaching math to troubled high schoolers. My drive has always been to help push people to be better and chase their dreams, and that definitely hasn’t changed since my teaching days.
The thing that sparked that entrepreneur itch
While teaching, I wanted to embrace more of my creative side too. So I decided to get a camera and learn more about photography. And eventually, that led into wedding photography. When I was building my wedding photography business, the logical part of me started falling in love with the business side of things. I started obsessing over things like systems and logos and websites and coding and CSS.I couldn’t stop, I was hooked. So I kept following what I loved, which led me here.
